“The border wall — the money was appropriated for the border wall. I tried to get to them to reappropriate it, to redirect that money. They didn’t. ... I can’t stop that.”
FactCheck.org says: The appropriations law from 2019 stated that of the funds for Customs and Border Protection, $1.375 billion would “only” be available “for the construction of barrier system along the southwest border.”
“Under the Obama-Biden administration, we invested hundreds of millions of dollars in the state of Florida replacing wooden power poles with steel poles and we buried these electric lines.”
PolitiFact says: The White House pointed to FEMA grants, which added up to far less than the amount Biden cited, and to smart electrical grid projects, which are not the same as burying power lines.
“#Bidenomics has led to mortgage rates hitting a 21-year high → over 7%.”
PolitiFact says: Mortgage rates hit a 21-year high in August, reaching 7.09%. But blaming President Joe Biden’s policies for record-high mortgage rates is an oversimplification, economists say.
“During Gordon Gee's presidency of West Virginia University, "student enrollments have steadily decreased.”
PolitiFact says: Counting West Virginia University plus its affiliated campuses, total enrollment has fallen every year since President Gordon Gee began his current term in 2014, except for a less-than-1% uptick from 2016 to 2017.

PolitiFact says: Trump neither inherited a nearly dead auto industry nor revived it.
“Just in the last four years, $80 billion in federal funding has come to West Virginia — $22 billion more than we've ever received.”
PolitiFact says: Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., actually understated the flow of federal money. West Virginia has received $92.4 billion in federal funds from 2020-2023.
“Six million or 7 million people have “come illegally under Biden.”
PolitiFact says: This is an exaggeration. DeSantis' is conflating the number of times border patrol agents encountered migrants at entry points with the number of migrants who entered and remain in the U.S.
“These videos show flooding in various parts of New York in September 2023.”
“U.K. troops are headed to train Ukrainian soliders in Ukraine”

“Andrés Iniesta dijo que Messi le robó un Balón de Oro y que Cristiano Ronaldo es el "mejor jugador de la historia".”
“Biden is giving each illegal [immigrant] family $2,200 per month.”
FactCheck.org says: Immigrants who come to the U.S. illegally have very limited access to government benefits. But an old falsehood conflates aid given to refugees with the limited assistance available to immigrants who entered illegally.
“Campaign finance disclosures showed Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis took part in a “massive money laundering and election fraud” scheme.”
PolitiFact says: Over 200 contributions to Willis’ campaign had no donor information, but this isn’t proof of a money laundering scheme. Georgia’s campaign finance laws don’t require donor information for donations worth $100 and below.
“Estos videos muestran imágenes de las inundaciones recientes en Nueva York.”
“U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has been arrested for treason.”

“World Economic Forum “elites” are pushing the Great Reset, which aims to control people by taking all their possessions.”
PolitiFact says: The World Economic Forum and ‘the Great Reset’ have long been at the center of conspiracy theories. But there’s no evidence the forum is planning to seize people’s possessions globally.
