Kari Lake, U.S. Senate candidate

“Rep. Ruben Gallego is “controlled by the cartels. His own father was a Colombian drug trafficker, and so he’s got links to the cartel.”

PolitiFact rated this: Pants on Fire

PolitiFact says: Ruben Gallego's father was arrested for drug crimes when Gallego was a child. Gallego's father left the family when he was young and he said they have rarely spoken. There's no evidence Gallego has "links to the cartel."

Donald Trump, former president of the United States

“The Biden administration stole $1 billion “from FEMA to use it for illegal migrants. … And FEMA is now busted. They don’t have any money.”

PolitiFact rated this: Pants on Fire

PolitiFact says: FEMA funding for migrants doesn't come at disaster relief’s expense. Trump’s administration shifted FEMA funding — including money from the Disaster Relief Fund — to address immigration. FEMA is not out of money.

Donald Trump, Former U.S. president

“The Harris-Biden administration says they don’t have any money [for hurricane relief]. … They spent it all on illegal migrants. … They stole the FEMA money just like they stole it from a bank, so they could give it to their illegal immigrants that they want to have vote for them.”

Washington Post rated this: Four Pinocchios

Washington Post says: No FEMA money was taken from disaster relief for migrants
