“The "[e]stimated human cost" of the COVID-19 vaccines is 26.6 million injuries, 1.36 million disabilities and "300k excess deaths.”
FactCheck.org says: Excess deaths associated with the pandemic continued in 2021 and 2022, but there is no evidence COVID-19 vaccines caused this phenomenon. COVID-19 continued to kill hundreds of thousands of Americans in those two years.
“The U.S. Department of Defense awarded a contract for COVID-19 research in Ukraine months before the virus was known.”
PolitiFact says: The Department of Defense didn't award a COVID-19 contract in 2019. The description in the contract was modified in June 2020 to address the pandemic.
“Covid vaccine was released as a depopulation measure”
“Lead paint was not banned to protect children’s health, but because it would protect people from radiation.”
PolitiFact says: Lead paint was banned for use in residential homes in 1978 because exposure to the toxic substance causes severe health problems in children. There is not enough lead in lead paint to offer protection against radiation.
“One of the greatest mysteries of COVID-19: Where did the flu go in 2020 and 2021?”
FactCheck.org says: Flu cases were fewer in 2020-21 because of measures adopted to slow the spread of the virus that causes COVID-19, like handwashing. But online posts spread the false claim that the dip in cases means COVID-19 was a hoax.
“Report proves that COVID-19 vaccines caused 300,000 excess deaths in 2022.”
PolitiFact says: Health experts said the report included no evidence to back its claim, relying instead on "loose correlations and incorrect assumptions."
“the results of Hepatitis B vaccination study withheld by CDC”
“Video shows people running from a zombie virus plague in the US”
“Former President Donald Trump is actually another man wearing a Trump mask.”
“underwire bras cause breast cancer”
“A doctor tweeted that she doesn’t regret giving the COVID-19 vaccine, “even if it turns out I injected you with actual poison and you only have days to live.”
PolitiFact says: The tweet is fake. A similar fake tweet attributed to the same doctor went viral in January and was debunked by multiple news outlets.
“[S]tudies confirm that covid damages the immune system, making everyone who got infected immunocompromised.”
FactCheck.org says: Outside of long COVID or very severe cases, most research suggests COVID-19 doesn’t cause lasting damage to the immune system -- and nothing suggests anything as severe as an immunodeficiency.
“Sullivan County “has the highest opioid death rate in all of New York state” yet “it’s the only county in the Hudson Valley not included in the federal High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area” program.”
PolitiFact says: Sullivan County, N.Y., leads the state in opioid death rate, but the federal government does not consider it to be part of its High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area.
“Former President Donald Trump “instructed all the governors to shut down” because of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
PolitiFact says: Sometimes, Trump deferred to governors; other times, he was more forceful about what he thought they should do about shutdowns or reopenings.
“The official count of drug overdose deaths is a “lie,” and the figure is “probably a half a million people” a year.”
FactCheck.org says: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention told us that “any undercount” in overall drug overdose deaths “should be relatively small.”
