What Vera Files found
Aquino’s name does not appear in the “brief review of the history” of CPP-NPA published in 1988. Neither was he cited in an article written by CPP founding chairperson Jose Maria Sison in 2018. A tracker on militant organizations worldwide listed only Sison and Dante Buscayno as founders of the CPP-NPA. Despite repeated claims that Aquino “organized” the CPP-NPA with Sison, no official record has been presented to substantiate it.
