“California only has ‘enough’ oil and gas supply to meet demand for the next six weeks.”
What PolitiFact found
A California energy official said May 5 that California’s current and projected gasoline supply was sufficient to cover consumer needs for the next six weeks. This doesn’t mean that the supply will drop to zero in six weeks. Rather, six weeks is how far out officials make forecasts. Even though officials are not predicting that California gasoline supplies will run out, prices at the pump could go higher, even beyond their elevated levels.
