Mr Miles's claim is overstated. While data shows a cut of the magnitude suggested by the Health Minister was made by the LNP, the LNP restored some of that cut itself, with Labor finishing the job when it came to power again. Queensland and Commonwealth government data on health workers shows a sharp drop of 4,689 full-time equivalent health care workers between June 2012, shortly after Labor left office, and June 2013, at the end of the LNP's first full budget year, representing a cut of 6.4...
