“Matthew Guy cut $1 billion from the Victorian health budget”
What RMIT ABC Fact Check found
The Victorian Labor Party is still wrong. Adjusted for inflation, health spending under the previous Coalition government grew from $8 billion in 2009-10 to $9.5 billion in 2014-15. The average annual increase was $306 million. The average annual per person increase was 1.7 per cent. Additionally, the suggestion that Matthew Guy was responsible for the cuts is misleading: he has never held a ministerial position relating to health.
