“If you own a house, subtract what you paid for it from the Zillow estimate. Be prepared to pay 25% of that in a check to the IRS. That's your unrealized capital gains taxed owed under the Kamala Harris proposal.”

FactCheck.org rated this: Distorts the Facts

FactCheck.org says: Social media posts misrepresent a tax proposed in President Joe Biden’s 2025 budget. The 25% tax on unrealized capital gains would apply only to those who have a net worth of more than $100 million, not to all taxpayers.

Donald Trump, Former President

“Under [Vice President] Kamala [Harris], we have fallen into manufacturing recession with 13,000 manufacturing jobs lost in the United States since just the start of this year.”

FactCheck.org rated this: Spins the Facts

FactCheck.org says: In Biden’s first two years in office, there was a gain of 754,000 manufacturing jobs. But as was the case under Trump, manufacturing job growth stalled in Biden’s third year in office.

Kamala Harris, Vice president of the United States

“The Inflation Reduction Act, what we have done to invest ... probably a trillion dollars over the next 10 years, investing in a clean energy economy. What we've already done creating over 300,000 new clean energy jobs.”

Donald Trump, Former President of the United States

“The Harris/Biden administration has been caught fraudulently manipulating job statistics. ... The new data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that the administration padded the numbers with an extra ... 818,000 jobs that don’t exist.”

FactCheck.org rated this: False

FactCheck.org says: Each year, the Bureau of Labor Statistics revises its monthly employment figures, which come from a survey of employers, based on more comprehensive data it obtains later from state filings. It's a routine revision.

Donald Trump, Former U.S. President

“President Joe Biden "sent comrade [Vice President] Kamala [Harris] to see [Russian President Vladimir] Putin in Russia three days before the attack" on Ukraine.”

FactCheck.org rated this: False

FactCheck.org says: In February 2022, Harris went to a security conference in Germany to primarily talk with European leaders about Russian aggression toward Ukraine. She didn’t go to Russia, and there is no evidence she met with Putin.
