John Stockton, former professional basketball player

“There’s 150 I believe now – it’s over 100 professional athletes dead, professional athletes, the prime of their life, dropping dead that are vaccinated, right on the pitch, right on the field, right on the court.”

PolitiFact rated this: False

PolitiFact says: Stockton’s claim is not backed up by any scientific evidence. There have been no reports linking COVID-19 vaccines to deaths in athletes. Sports cardiologists said they haven’t seen athletes collapse after vaccination.

Ted Nugent, musician

“If this guy received the most votes in history, in the largest voter turnout in history like they claim, then how is the vote being suppressed like they claim?”

PolitiFact rated this: Presents false choice

PolitiFact says: It’s possible to have more raw votes and voter suppression at the same time. Nugent's statement ignores the facts of the unusual 2020 election and that we don't yet know the impact of new election restrictions.

“Polar bears have increased 400% in 45 years; whales are nearly fully recovered; extinctions are down 90% past century. Koalas are doing fine. If we could ban wind turbines we could save 85,000 birds of prey/yr in US alone.”

PolitiFact rated this: False

PolitiFact says: Global estimates of the polar bear population show either a modest decline or virtually no change. Whale populations are not close to recovering fully. Experts and scientific data show that koalas are vulnerable.
