PolitiFact says: An edited clip omitted the context that the study involved only vaccinated people, leaving the false impression that the 75% statistic reflected all COVID-19 deaths and that the pandemic’s severity had been exaggerated.

“Video claims Walgreens refrigerators are scanning shoppers’ hands and foreheads for “the mark of the beast,” and that “if you don’t have the mark later on, you won’t be able to buy.”

PolitiFact says: Cooler Screens are designed to provide targeted advertising and promotions based on shoppers’ behaviors and other factors. They are not scanning people for a specific “mark.”

“You are 17 times more likely to go to the hospital if you’re not vaccinated, 20 times more likely to die.”

PolitiFact says: Available CDC data indicates the unvaccinated are 17 times more likely to be hospitalized and 20 times more likely to die of COVID-19 than those who are vaccinated.

“Democrats “are trying to ban voter ID.”

PolitiFact says: The Senate Democrats’ Freedom to Vote Act includes a list of more than one dozen forms of ID that should be accepted in states that require an ID to vote. It also includes a workaround for voters who lack ID.

PolitiFact says: Infectious disease experts said that the omicron variant of COVID-19 does not favor people who are vaccinated, though omicron is more resistant to vaccine protection than other variants.

“No one has been hospitalized for” the omicron variant of COVID-19.”

PolitiFact says: Paul made the claim in a reelection ad. Two studies published before the ad began running cited hundreds of omicron hospitalizations. Paul’s campaign took the ad down.

PolitiFact says: The claim alludes to a New England Journal of Medicine study that shows the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine prevents infection and severe illness, with no evidence that it caused any death.

“More people, aged 18-45, died of Fentanyl overdoses in 2020 than covid, car accidents, cancer, + suicide combined.”

PolitiFact says: Fentanyl overdoses are the No. 1 killer among Americans age 18 to 45. However, the post has overstated the differential between fentanyl overdoses and the other four causes of death.

PolitiFact says: Census data shows that Joe Manchin represents roughly 2.6 times the number of residents as Ocasio-Cortez does.
