PolitiFact says: The number is wrong. Haley’s plan wouldn’t affect current beneficiaries or Americans anywhere close to retiring, let alone 82% of the U.S. population.

PolitiFact says: The Bangladeshi population has long included communities of people who identify as "third-gender." Since 2018, U.S. foreign aid has gone to local nongovernmental organizations that work with the LGBTQ+ community.

“Women "store DNA" from all their male sexual partners.”

PolitiFact says: There is no scientific evidence to suggest that women regularly retain and "store" the DNA of sexual partners through intercourse.

“World Economic Forum event is evidence that global leaders are planning a new pandemic called Disease X.”

PolitiFact says: Disease X, a term used for several years by the World Health Organization, refers to a hypothetical deadly pathogen that could lead to a global pandemic.

“Dr. Oz endorsed gummies to “clean blood vessels” and treat high blood pressure.”

PolitiFact says: This video’s audio was edited. Dr. Mehmet Oz didn’t endorse gummies to treat high blood pressure. For years, Oz has warned people not to fall for scams that use his name and likeness to sell health products.

PolitiFact says: Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas won the 2016 Iowa Republican caucus. Donald Trump finished second. In 2020, Trump won when he faced a nominal primary challenger. Trump won the 2024 Iowa caucus.

“Video shows a “US-owned cargo ship was just hit by a missile off the coast of Yemen!”

PolitiFact says: Houthi fighters struck a U.S. container ship off Yemen’s coast Jan. 15, but several Instagram videos show footage captured in May 2021 after a fire broke out on a container ship off the coast of Sri Lanka.

“Bloodied Palestinian baby doll was “made in Israel.”

PolitiFact says: A bloodied Palestinian baby doll seen on a toy shelf in social media videos was not made in Israel. It was created in Mexico by a person bringing attention to the deaths of children in Gaza.

“In Palm Springs, California, “transgender residents to receive a monthly payment of $900.”

PolitiFact says: The city launched a 2023 universal basic income pilot program that provides $800 — not $900 — monthly payments to 30 eligible recipients, but the program was not exclusively available to transgender people.

“Our government, wrongly, is saying if you’re born in this country you’re automatically an American citizen.”

“That’s why they are allowing these people to come in — people that don’t speak our language — they are signing them up to vote.”

PolitiFact says: Citizenship is a requirement to vote in federal elections. The process for immigrants to become citizens takes years.

PolitiFact says: By one measure, the white-Black wealth ratio, it's true that the racial wealth gap modestly reduced to the smallest it’s been in 20 years. By a different measure, the dollar amount difference in wealth, the gap widened.
