What PolitiFact found

A September 2023 FBI document said a special agent conducted a preliminary search of data records for phones associated with some lawmakers, related to investigating 2020 election interference. The document did not say their phones were wiretapped. A Senate committee press release said the data showed who was called and when and the length of calls. The press release said the data did not include the calls’ content.
