The Viral claim that the Muslim population in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, was less than 1000 twenty years ago and has now increased to more than one lakh is incorrect. According to the official 2001 and 2011 Census data, the population of Muslims in Haldwani was 67,559 and 80,436 respectively in 2011 and 2001. Since the 2021 census has not been conducted yet, recent population figures are not available
