“We have more than enough ability in this country to produce enough oil to make up for the percentage that we buy from Russia.”
PolitiFact says: Experts told PolitiFact the U.S. could indeed replace Russian imports with American oil. But, they warned, it might take time and cost more.
“While Ukrainians bled and died … Congressman Budd excused their killer.”
FactCheck.org says: Budd said Putin has “strategic reasons” for wanting to “protect" Russia's borders, but called the invasion of Ukraine "evil" and said he supports Ukraine. He also called Putin “erratic,” a “thug” and “intelligent.”
“A Ukrainian combat medic who died in February was seen in a video Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky posted of his visit to see wounded soldiers.”
“Classified documents from Ukraine “confirm without a shadow of a doubt” that the Ukraine government was “covertly preparing an offensive operation against Donbas, scheduled for March 2022.”
PolitiFact says: The document isn’t classified, and there are no direct statements in it about an attack on the Donbas. It makes references to a training camp on the opposite side of the country.
“Es real foto de carriolas (carritos de bebé) dejadas en una estación de tren en Polonia para bebés refugiados de Ucrania”
“Joe Biden's cancellation of the Keystone pipeline "dramatically increased Americans' dependence on Russian oil.”
PolitiFact says: The Keystone XL pipeline was never built, so Biden’s canceling it didn’t make the U.S. more reliant on Russian oil. After the U.S. placed economic sanctions on Venezuela in 2019, the U.S. began to buy more Russian oil.
“Says President Joe Biden "is trying to send taxpayer dollars to manufacturers overseas that do not abide by the same (carbon emission) standards we do at home.”

PolitiFact says: Data from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services back up Hochul's claim.
“Donald Trump's appeasement of Putin wasn't just a personal act of treason, it's the Republican Party's official position.”
PolitiFact says: Donald Trump’s actions regarding Ukraine did not rise to the level of treason, which is defined in the Constitution. The GOP platform does not amount to an official policy of appeasing Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Facebook video shows “counting Biden’s votes at 2 a.m.”
PolitiFact says: The Facebook user who shared the video said it was a joke. While some election offices in 2020 continued to process and count ballots overnight after the polls closed, that is a sign of a routine process and not fraud.
“Los batallones nacionalistas ucranianos lo impidieron (la evacuación de la población) recurriendo a la violencia contra la población civil".”
“Two years ago we were “drilling our own oil for $27 a barrel.” Now, thanks to Joe Biden, we’re “paying $105 a barrel to Russia.”
PolitiFact says: The current, higher oil prices are largely attributable to Russia’s war in Ukraine and to a sluggish response to energy demands after the pandemic slowdown, not U.S. drilling.
“Here in Wisconsin, prescription drug costs grew at a pace of nearly twice as much as the average Wisconsinite's income from 2015-2019.”
“Joe Biden caved to the radical environmentalists and stopped America’s Keystone pipeline and dramatically increased Americans’ dependence on Russian oil”
Washington Post says: U.S. purchases of Russian oil rose because of factors that predated Biden.
“Marco Rubio is following his party bosses, like Rick Scott, with his plan to raise taxes on Florida's working families, retirees and veterans.”
PolitiFact says: Rick Scott released a plan that indicates support for raising income taxes on millions of Americans, but there is no evidence that Marco Rubio backs such tax hikes.
“Russian president Vladimir Putin meets with South Korean President.”
FactCheck.org says: A video from 2019 showing Russian President Vladimir Putin meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has been circulating recently with the false claim that it shows Putin meeting with the South Korean president.
“We haven’t seen a single American mega church offer anything to the Ukrainians.”
FactCheck.org says: Several megachurches in the U.S. are actively raising funds to support Ukrainians in light of the Russian invasion.
