“Negotiating drug prices in Medicare means politicians will "decide which medicines you can and can't get regardless of what your doctor prescribes.”
FactCheck.org says: The ad inaccurately portrays recent legislation to allow for negotiated Medicare drug prices. The leading proposal does not let the government decide which medications Medicare recipients can get.
“The Biden administration plans to "Send the Taliban Millions in US Dollars.”
FactCheck.org says: The U.S. is providing humanitarian aid through independent organizations in Afghanistan, not the Taliban government.
“Whether it’s $600 or $10,000, under this [Democratic] proposal, the intimate financial details of everyone in this room, at a minimum of every American who has a job, will be turned over on a daily basis to the IRS.”
“A photo shows a $123,199 turkey for sale at Target “this year.”
“Biden’s liberal plan would force many family farms and ranches to be sold off to pay his higher capital gains taxes.”
Washington Post says: The ad is exaggerated. Very few farms face estate-tax liability — and relatively few pay the estate tax.
“California’s shipping backlog is, in part, caused by a “California Truck Ban which says all trucks must be 2011 or newer and a law called AB 5 which prohibits Owner Operators.”
PolitiFact says: The shipping pileup at California’s ports is part of a worldwide supply chain crisis exacerbated by the pandemic and a lack of supplies, equipment and workers, not the state’s rules and regulations on trucking
“COVID-19 “surges among most vaxxed communities, says Harvard study.”
PolitiFact says: The study found high rates of infection in communities with high rates of vaccination. It concluded that prevention measures such as handwashing, safe distancing and testing should be employed along with vaccinations.
“Democrats “manufactured votes from low income voters to steal the battleground states.”
PolitiFact says: The Gateway Pundit used a study of low-income voters to falsely claim that Democrats used low-income voters to steal the election. The article conflated voter outreach with voter fraud without evidence.
“¡El mandato de vacunación ilegal de Joe Biden en acción! Repentinamente nos faltan pilotos y controladores de tráfico aéreo.”
FactCheck.org says: Las cancelaciones de vuelos avivaron argumentos de que los trabajadores del transporte estaban protestando contra los requisitos de vacunación. No hay evidencia de que los trabajadores hayan organizado protestas.
“In the United Kingdom, “81% of COVID-19 deaths are among the vaccinated.”
PolitiFact says: The statistic cited by the claim applies to Scotland, not the entire United Kingdom, and it gives a misleading impression. The rate of COVID-19 death in Scotland is much higher among unvaccinated people.
“Parents who challenge school curriculums are domestic terrorist(s).”
PolitiFact says: U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland told federal agencies to work to address criminal threats against school officials and staff. Garland’s instructions say that “spirited debate” is protected by the Constitution.
“Tennessee new law passed 48 hours ago now makes it illegal to teach Black history in the grades K-12.”
PolitiFact says: A Tennessee law adopted in May bans the teaching in public schools of critical race theory, which is a collection of ideas about systemic bias and privilege. It does not prohibit the teaching of Black history.
“A photo shows sex traffickers using an abandoned child car seat to lure in victims.”
“¿Las personas no vacunadas contra el covid-19 ponen en riesgo a las vacunadas?”
“President Joe Biden "has successfully guided this economy out of the teeth of a terrifying recession.”
FactCheck.org says: The recession caused by the COVID-19 pandemic officially lasted just two months and ended in April 2020.
“Says Dr. Anthony Fauci said he will not “take a PCR COVID test.”
PolitiFact says: The video is from March 2020, when COVID-19 test availability was limited and tests were prioritized for specific groups. Fauci said at that time he wasn’t getting a test because he didn’t have symptoms.
“Says Hunter Biden “was hanged at Gitmo.”
PolitiFact says: This is bogus. There have been zero news reports about President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, being hanged — an event that would be covered by countless news organizations around the world.
“According to one study, America ranks ... 33rd out of the 44 advanced economies when it comes to the percentage of our young people who have attained a post-high-school degree.”
FactCheck.org says: The White House did not identify the study Biden mentioned. According to OECD data, the U.S. places 11th place among the 38 OECD countries in the percentage of residents 25 to 34 years old with a postsecondary degree.
