“Incidental COVID-19 hospitalization data proves that hospitalization numbers are inflated and that the situation isn’t as dire as health officials are making it seem.”

PolitiFact rated this: False

PolitiFact says: Not all incidental COVID-19 hospitalizations are the same. For some, infection is mild and their visit unrelated to COVID. But others may be hospitalized to treat issues that were caused or exacerbated by the virus.

John Stockton, former professional basketball player

“There’s 150 I believe now – it’s over 100 professional athletes dead, professional athletes, the prime of their life, dropping dead that are vaccinated, right on the pitch, right on the field, right on the court.”

PolitiFact rated this: False

PolitiFact says: Stockton’s claim is not backed up by any scientific evidence. There have been no reports linking COVID-19 vaccines to deaths in athletes. Sports cardiologists said they haven’t seen athletes collapse after vaccination.
