FactCheck.org says: The letter states the opposite, noting that the viruses used in the experiments are “decades removed from SARS-CoV-2 evolutionarily” and that they “could not have been the source of SARS-CoV-2.”
PolitiFact says: Multiple studies show that a vaccinated person is significantly less likely to pass the coronavirus to someone else than an unvaccinated person is. However, the transmission risk is not reduced to zero.
FactCheck.org says: Infectious disease experts say low vaccination rates, resistance to protective measures such as wearing a mask and the highly transmissible delta variant are driving the current surge of COVID-19 cases in the U.S.
PolitiFact says: Preliminary studies find surviving COVID-19 leaves people with robust immunity. But it's a high-risk strategy for getting protection from the virus.
Vera Files says: The severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), or the COVID-19 virus, was identified in China on Jan. 7, 2020.
PolitiFact says: One measure rates delta’s contagiousness in the range of what the video states. But it is a theoretical measure that doesn’t take into account steps such as vaccination that reduce the risk of getting COVID-19.
FactCheck.org says: There is no evidence of adverse health effects from mask-wearing. “For many years, health care providers have worn masks for extended periods of time with no adverse health reactions,” the Mayo Clinic Health System notes
FactCheck.org says: Image has been manipulated.
FactCheck.org says: Antibody-dependent enhancement of disease, or ADE, hasn’t been an issue in the animal studies and clinical trials for the COVID-19 vaccines — not to mention their real-world rollout.
Washington Post says: There is little evidence to support this claim. Undocumented immigrants found to be covid-positive are quarantined until they are well.
PolitiFact says: Illegal immigration may be a contributing factor to the coronavirus’ spread, but the available evidence suggests another explanation: low vaccination rates.
PolitiFact says: PPE used by the general public doesn’t need to be disposed of like medical waste. Masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19 can be thrown away in the trash because COVID-19 doesn’t spread or survive easily on surfaces.
FactCheck.org says: There is no evidence linking the novel coronavirus to a lab — only speculation. Many scientists with expertise in coronaviruses consider a lab escape unlikely.
