What FACTLY found

The viral video is digitally altered, and the audio is a deepfake. The original video, published by ANI in October 2023, shows Major General Girish Kalia speaking about infiltration attempts along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, not China’s control of parts of Arunachal Pradesh. The Indian Army Fact Check and ANI have also clarified that this is a deepfake video.
