“In UP elections, Congress party has lost with a narrow margin of 500 – 1000 votes in 167 seats”
What FACTLY found
According to the ECI, there are only 15 seats wherein the winning margin is below 1000 votes in the 2022 UP Assembly elections. Even in these 15 seats, it was either the SP alliance candidate or the BJP candidate who trailed behind. Congress party stood in second position only in four seats and even the margin of loss in these seats is way more than what claimed in the viral post.
