Joe Biden, president

“Joe Biden's uncle "got shot down in New Guinea, and they never found the body because there used to be — there were a lot of cannibals, for real, in that part of New Guinea.”

PolitiFact rated this: Highly unlikely, experts say

PolitiFact says: The plane crashed over the ocean, making it unlikely anyone would have stumbled upon the bodies. And while cannibalism has been practiced in New Guinea, it was usually practiced on family or enemies, not strangers.

Joe Biden, president

“Starting in 2025 "no matter what your total bills are for prescription drugs,” Medicare Part D users will never pay “more than $2,000 a year, because some of these cancer drugs are 10(,000 to) 15,000 bucks a year.”

PolitiFact rated this: Mostly True

PolitiFact says: President Joe Biden signed a law in 2022 that will cap prescription drugs at $2,000 a year by 2025 for people who have the prescription drug benefit, Medicare Part D.

Marco Rubio, U.S. Senator, R-Fla.

“It's very misleading when (President Biden) says (inflation) used to be at 9%. This is compounding. It’s not like it went down from 9% to 3%. This is building month after month. The better way to think about it is that it’s 18%, 19% over the last three years.”

PolitiFact rated this: Half True

PolitiFact says: Inflation compounds and it has risen by about 19% over the last three years. However, Rubio leaves out that wages have increased faster than prices since the pandemic, and also over the past year.
