PolitiFact says: As a young lawyer and politician, Abraham Lincoln engaged in a duel involving swords. However, he was not the one to make the challenge; his rival did.
“An exemption in a new Florida law “allowed Chinese nationals to buy land within a 20-mile radius of a military base, lobbied for by one of (Gov. Ron DeSantis’) donors.”
PolitiFact says: People associated with the Chinese government are barred from buying any property in Florida but Chinese nationals who qualify for an exemption may buy one residential parcel that's not within 5 miles of a military base.
“Just like the Cuban regime, the Biden administration is trying to put their political opponents in jail, shutting down free speech.”

PolitiFact says: In 2022, military aid accounted for about 13% of overall U.S. foreign aid. In this century, military aid has consistently accounted for less than 40% of overall foreign aid.
“We sell arms to 60% of the world's autocrats. We are the world's largest arms exporters.”
PolitiFact says: The U.S. is the world’s largest arms exporter, with 40% of the global share, easily ahead of Russia at 16%.
“1936 in the United States was “much hotter than 2023.”
PolitiFact says: NOAA data shows that in the contiguous U.S., the first nine months of 2023 were warmer than the same period in 1936. Overwhelming evidence shows human-caused climate change is warming the Earth.
“On Nov. 7, 2023, Pennsylvania voting machines were “flipping votes,” which is evidence of “election fraud.”
PolitiFact says: A Pennsylvania voting machine error caused votes in two judicial races to appear switched on printed ballot summaries, but voters' choices were recorded accurately. This occurred due to human error, not election fraud.
“Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy “has surrendered.”
PolitiFact says: There are no credible reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has surrendered to Russia.
“Acapulco destroyed by yet another directed weather attack!”
PolitiFact says: There are weather modification programs in use, but none that could intensify a hurricane or direct it on a path, experts said.
“In 1992, this country made a promise to Ukraine. We said if you return nuclear missiles that were part of the old Soviet Union to Russia, and they invade you, we will protect you.”
PolitiFact says: The Budapest agreement signed in 1994 by Ukraine, Russia, the United States and the United Kingdom did not include an ironclad obligation for the U.S. to protect Ukraine if its borders were violated.

PolitiFact says: There’s no evidence that Joe Rogan spoke on his podcast about an Oct. 13 child abduction at California’s Disneyland, as an Instagram video claimed.
“Taylor Swift pulls ‘Eras’ film screenings in Israel.”
“There was enough fentanyl that was captured just on the northern border last year to kill 3 million Americans.”
PolitiFact says: To kill 3 million people would require around 13 pounds of fentanyl. At the northern border, officials seized 14 pounds of fentanyl in fiscal year 2022 and 2 pounds in fiscal year 2023, which ended in September.
