What FACTLY found

The incident did not take place in India, nor was the attacker a Hindu man. The photos are from Ghior Upazila in Bangladesh, where a man named Nasim Bhuiyan assaulted local computer shop owner Ali Azam Manik over a dispute. The attacker pulled the victim’s beard and damaged his shop. He was later arrested by police on 27 June 2025.
