“The video shows a Chhattisgarh MLA, angered by the arrest of cow vigilantes, slapping a police officer.”
What FACTLY found
The video is a compilation of two unrelated incidents. The first part shows Swabhimani Shetkari Sangathan youth wing president Mayur Borde slapping a bank manager in Jalna, Maharashtra, in August 2024. The second part shows a police officer dragging a man named Karan in Panipat, Haryana, during a clash with cow vigilantes in April 2025. There are no reports of any Chhattisgarh MLA slapping a police officer over the arrest of cow protectors.
