The man in the video is not Hindu. He has been identified as Azam Malik from Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir. He was assaulting his wife, Ravin Begum, over an alleged dowry demand of ₹10 lakh and a car. Udhampur ASP clarified that there is no communal angle to the incident, and both the accused and the victim are from the Muslim community.
