“The video shows Air Chief Marshal AP Singh admitting to India losing six jets and a drone during the conflict with Pakistan in May 2025.”
What FACTLY found
The viral clip is edited. The line about India losing six jets and a Heron UAV during the 07 May 2025 air engagement is not part of Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh’s original speech at the 16th Air Chief Marshal LM Katre Memorial Lecture in Bengaluru. It was digitally added. Government’s PIB Fact Check also clarified that the video is an AI-generated deepfake and that Air Chief Marshal Singh made no such statement.
