“The video shows Pakistan-origin Mohammad Altamas who was roaming with a knife in the U.S., and police shot him after he refused to surrender.”
What FACTLY found
The viral video dates back to 10 November 2022, when Jesus Crosby was shot by the Albuquerque Police Department in the parking lot of their headquarters. Crosby was holding nail clippers with the file extended, which officers mistook for a knife. He stepped forward, and two officers opened fire after he reportedly refused to surrender and shouted obscenities. The video does not show the police shooting a Pakistan-origin man.
