“The viral video shows former Army Chief Gen. Manoj Pande saying, in Assam, the Indian Army was instructed by Israeli forces to dehumanise Muslims, Sikhs, and Kukis.”
What FACTLY found
The video is a deepfake. The original clip from a PTI video (14 March 2026) shows Gen. Manoj Pande speaking at the event “Nation Building and Leadership: A Soldier’s Perspective” in Delhi, where he discussed anticipated future security challenges and preparing the armed forces for future wars. He did not make the remarks heard in the viral video. The PIB Fact Check and MEA also confirmed the clip is digitally manipulated.
