“The viral video shows Persians celebrating the recent Israeli attack on Iran by distributing sweets and holding “Thank you, Israel” signs.”
What FACTLY found
The video actually shows Iranian Canadians and members of the Jewish community celebrating in Toronto, Canada on 29 September 2024, after Israel eliminated Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. It has no connection to the recent Israel-Iran conflict, and we could not independently verify whether the people in the video are Persians.
