What FACTLY found

The viral video does not show the recent alleged Houthi attack on Mecca. The video is from September 2025 and shows Saudi forces intercepting a missile fired by Yemen’s Houthis towards Israel near the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina. Recently, Saudi Arabia claimed that its forces destroyed a Houthi drone south of Mecca on 15 September 2026. However, the Houthis denied targeting Mecca.
