PolitiFact says: The numbers for the past 35 years show about 97% of jobs have been created under Democratic presidents. Policies have played a role in job creation, but so have timing and events beyond any president’s control.

PolitiFact says: We did not find emergency management officials advising people who live outside the eclipse’s path to stock up on food, water or fuel ahead of the rare astronomical event.
