The video is from 2019 when police lathi-charged anti-CAA protestors who clashed with the police at Lucknow’s Parivartan Chowk. The Uttar Pradesh government, in 2019, held an examination to recruit 69,000 school teachers. The process had faced allegations of irregularities in quota allocation within the merit list. In December 2021, there was a clip showing a police lathi-charge on a group of people protesting the exam process, but the current viral video is not from that incident
