“A dog endured “unimaginable pain and suffering” during heart research experiments, “just one of 300 killed in (Dr. Mehmet) Oz’s lab.”
PolitiFact says: We did not find evidence of widespread pain and suffering among the dogs in the Columbia University lab. The ad’s focus on a dog known as 6313 is misleading.
“Blake Masters does not support abortion exceptions for rape and incest.”
PolitiFact says: Masters supports an Arizona law that, after 15 weeks of pregnancy, bans most abortions, with no exceptions for rape or incest. The law allows abortions for any reason through 15 weeks.
“When a man killed a child, [Cheri Beasley] gave him the death penalty.”
FactCheck.org says: The convicted murder was sentenced to death by a jury and a Superior Court judge, not Beasley. Beasley wrote an opinion that rejected the man's request for DNA testing of additional evidence.
“Says Susan Collins "voted against accountability for opioid makers” and denied taking campaign money from a family who made its wealth selling OxyContin.”
PolitiFact says: Collins voted against one accountability measure, but for others. She received one campaign donation, of $2,300 in 2007, from one of the Sackler family members.
