What FACTLY found

According to the news reports in 2013, a circular from the DGP has mentioned that if a girl complains and provides proofs of the multiple friend requests, then action can be taken under Section 66A of the Information Technology Act as it can come under cyber bullying. So, this is not a recent development, and is not brought by the Yogi Adityanath government. Also, Section 66A of the IT Act has been struck down by the Supreme Court in 2015
