“This year, there have been 13,000 deaths by gun violence. The vast majority, 95% of them, are in inner cities, where you have some of the strictest gun control laws in the country.”

PolitiFact says: Urban centers do account for a disproportionate share of gun homicides, but not as big as Short suggests. Including suicides, as the term “gun violence” would, makes the share even smaller.
